Global Village returns on 14 October
Global Village Season 31 is scheduled to open on 14 October 2026 and run into May 2027. The official visitor page lists opening hours of 4pm–midnight Monday to Thursday and 4pm–1am Friday to Sunday. Tuesdays are reserved for families and ladies except on public holidays.
Give this experience a full evening rather than squeezing it after a desert safari. Four seasonal RTA bus routes are listed from Centrepoint, Union, Al Ghubaiba and Mall of the Emirates areas.
Comedy Festival highlights
British comedian Mo Gilligan performs at Dubai Opera on 12 October. Improv fans can see Alexander Merkul at Mall of the Emirates on 15 October. Book early if a particular performer is central to your trip.
Music and nightlife
The Amy Winehouse Band plays Dubai Opera on 8 October. On 17 October, South African DJ THEMBA brings a beachfront electronic set to Palm Jumeirah. Both nights are best paired with light sightseeing rather than a long Abu Dhabi excursion.
Indian festival energy
Navratri Utsav 2026 takes over Zabeel Park Amphitheatre on 16 and 17 October, with the official listing showing a 7pm start and tickets from AED 20. Indian families can keep the afternoon relaxed, reach the park early and reserve the next morning for a later start.
Sport, food and family choices
The citywide Dubai District Games begin on 3 October, while The Ripe Market hosts a community run on 4 October. Food travelers can also explore the Emirati Chef’s Table: Founders Series, whose October batch is scheduled from 2–30 October at participating locations.
Families traveling around Halloween weekend can consider The Way Back Home, a children’s stage production running from 31 October into 1 November.
How to build an October package
- Keep one full evening free for Global Village.
- Match your hotel area to the event venue or nearest Metro connection.
- Avoid scheduling desert safari and a ticketed evening show on the same day.
- Allow extra road time for Palm Jumeirah, Expo City and weekend events.
- Confirm whether your package includes event transport or only sightseeing transfers.
We can build sightseeing around your chosen events and keep the right evenings free. Explore Dubai tour packages or request a custom itinerary.
