Winter City at Expo City Dubai converts the legacy World Expo venue into a festive wonderland. Think wooden chalets selling gifts and hot chocolate, an ice rink for beginners and kids, carolers, live concerts, and pop-up performances beneath the Al Wasl dome’s immersive projections. The décor is photo-ready: towering trees, light tunnels, and snow-kissed props. Families can meet Santa at his grotto, kids can craft ornaments, and foodies will love the seasonal desserts and specialty coffees.

The 2025 edition typically runs from late November through early January. Weekdays are calmer for families with toddlers; weekends feature busier markets and headline performances. Evenings (after 6 PM) have the best ambience with lights and projections. For Christmas week and New Year’s Eve, book tickets or time slots early as the venue can get at capacity.

Basic entry to Expo City grounds can be free on some days, with paid experiences inside the Winter City (like the ice rink, Santa’s grotto sessions, or special concerts). Book rink slots online if possible; skate rentals are available.
